Classic lines from classic movies

"Keep your friends close, but keep your enemy closer" (Al Pacino, The Godfather II)

"We still have Paris" (Ingrid Burgman, Casablanca)

"Your girl is lovely, Hubble..." (Barbra Streisand, The Way We Were)

"You want the truth? You can handle the truth!" (Jack Nicholson, A Few Good Men)

"What can you say about a twenty-five-year-old girl who died? That she was beautiful and brilliant? That she loved Mozart and Bach, the Beatles, and me?" (Ryan O'Neil, Love Story)

"What can you say about a twenty-five-year-old girl who died? Bury her, before she gets rotten...!" (Bart Simpson)

Match point

There are moments in a match when the ball hits the top of the net. And, for a split second, it can either go forward or fall back. With a little luck, it goes forward and you win... or maybe it doesn't and you lose...

Match Point (Woody Allen, 2006)

get busy living or get busy dying

Andy Dufresne - "you choose: get busy living or get busy dying"

New York, New York...

We spent the last few days of 2005, including the New Year's eve, in New York. Yes, the city indeed never sleeps. We've mixed feelings for the city. Juli doesn't like it very much. She said the city is too crowded and filthy. I think, well, it's not that bad. Although I love Cambridge/Boston more, after all. It's always nice to get back home (to Cambridge) after any trip we've made so far...

tahun baru di NYC

New York City,
